X-BIONIC / PUMA | Swiss National Team Kit

This collaboration was a strategic partnership combining X-BIONIC’s textile patents and advanced construction with PUMA's global brand scale. The project used circular knitting to create seamless garments, enabling integration of unique, highly functional patented textile architectures not possible with traditional methods. Incorporating 14 patented functions, the design addressed extreme durability and physiological optimization. These textile technologies regulate thermal comfort and airflow by directing moisture with hydrophilic and hydrophobic yarns. Strategically oriented knit patterns facilitate movement and comfort during sport.

My Role | Contributions

Advanced 3D CAD: Developed high-fidelity 3D CAD models of technical garments and their corresponding textile patent zones, preserving design intent from digital concept to industrial circular knitting.

2D CAD - Techpack: Authored comprehensive techpacks and 2D CAD layouts for production, partnering with textile engineers to precisely place patent structures, graphics, and FIFA regulatory markings while balancing the distinct visual identities of PUMA and X-BIONIC.

Technology Visualization: Created high-fidelity animations and renderings to communicate proprietary technology details—such as the ThermoSyphon® and 3D Bionic Sphere® architectures—to internal leadership, PUMA stakeholders, and the Swiss Football Association.

CMFG: Defined the Color, Material, Finish, and Graphics (CMFG) strategy, balancing high-visibility Swiss branding with the varied aesthetics of functional knit textures. Collaborated with product managers and production partners to ensure color consistency and finishing processes.

Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborated with product managers, graphic designers, and marketing managers to develop visual assets and presentations for trade shows, exhibits, and sales events.
