Nomad is a premium travel gear company built for people who move — fast, free, and off the map. They approached us to produce a short brand film for their latest campaign: "Live Light."
We started with just a feeling — movement, silence, space.
Our team developed a visual narrative built around one central character: the traveler who never slows down. We scouted locations across Georgia and Iceland, chasing light, wind, and texture.
Our direction leaned into natural storytelling — no heavy gear, no fixed scripts. Just moments caught in motion.
Contributions:
System Architecture: Partnered with Engineering to translate complex mechanical, optical, and thermal requirements into a compact, production-ready form through iterative volume studies and physical mockups.
Integrated CAD Development: Managed ID geometry within the master engineering model, using a flexible workflow to accommodate supply chain unpredictability and rapid component swaps without compromising design intent.
Ergonomics & Refinement: Developed the final surfaces and refined user interactions through functional and aesthetic prototyping.
Feature Ownership: Led the design of key hardware touchpoints and functional elements, including the drawer handle, touchscreen, I/O ports, and the louvered venting system.
Stakeholder Alignment: Used continuous visualization and rendering to resolve aesthetic and functional issues, keeping stakeholders aligned without slowing technical progress.
Manufacturing & CMFG: Managed aesthetic aspects of DFM and the CMF strategy, challenging vendors to improve part consistency, dimensional accuracy, and finish.
Packaging and Unboxing: Designed the full packaging suite, including hero packaging, labeling, protective materials, and quick-start guides to ensure an intuitive unboxing experience.
